The best possible outcome is this ends in an extreme train wreck and Intel remove ME/vPro on desktop chips.

Less ideal is after said train wreck people create tools to easily disable this shit.

Worst case, it's only a partial train wreck and Intel dismiss the whole thing with marketing and PR bull shit about increasing security so it doesn't happen again and the majority go back to sucking Intel dick.

Normies will never even hear about this, and the few that do will not care. Normies do not even use Intel hardware anymore, except at work. They use ARM processors on their smartphones and tablets. Those that do use laptops use Apple, and will be convinced that they are immune to this problem.

<teehee, I use Mac, not Intel, silly. It's SO SECURE! Way better than that Windows or Intel or whatever you're talking about. OMG did you see that article on Black Lives Matter from HuffPo?! I mean, I didn't read it on HuffPo, just in my Facebook feed. OMG!!!!!!! [ten emojis follow]

They have no reason to care, they are nothing more than mere consumers who are oblivious to the world around them and stay happy by consuming the entertainment placed everywhere around them, if they are to ever become bored or discontent, they can easily turn on that television over there or hop on an electronic device to access the vast expanse that is the Internet to talk to other "people" and watch videos. These are the same individuals who post hundreds of pictures of their face and body on the internet and reveal their address of residence for everyone to see on a public medium, they don't care, and if they suddenly do, they have already dug a deep deep hole that they will then need to escape from.

I don't exist on the Internet, I have absolutely no accounts that I need to log into, and I don't use social media websites except for data collection and investigations into specific individuals or groups. Yes, I am taking advantage of the situation and using their poor security to learn of them, it is that easy for an external source to learn about a person.

This one?
http://blog.ptsecurity.com/2017/08/disabling-intel-me.html

I've read some of it, not everything.
The paper on OP is not released yet, I think. The BlackHat EU will be on december.

Also, we had already suggested the use of ME_Cleaner on our recommendations thread here: >>10740
