then dont screw them in too tightly, and if you do tear it up just putty over it. its not a precision job. i dont see how you could easily drive nails into the boards anyway, and id be dubious of what is essentially a smooth metal tacks ability to hold everything together in that configuration. usually you would put a pilot hole in the boards first, and the threads on the screws going into the board is what will keep it flush instead of just pushing the board off the backside of the wall. you're making me awfully suspicious about your drywall credentials.
