(I'm being autistic today, sorry)

Mostly unknown but very good Russian metal (pretty atypical and avantgarde) band called Mechanical Poet. It is actually a one man project made by someone called Alexey Plotnikov, who acts as composer, guitarist and lyrics author, and also often acts in different projects. Band changes style and lineup every one-two albums, so I'll start with first two, Handmade Essence (2003, more like EP than album) and Woodland Prattlers (2004), because they are relatively similar.

This is two conceptual albums with progressive/power metal style with fairy-like atmosphere, sound, lyrics and even album cover (including some comic). For these albums band recruited pretty talented vocalist Max Samosvat (from boring local power-metal band Epidemiya, lol) who, without limits of his "main" band tries to experiment much. At some tracks he uses several different voices (like on long "Natural Quaternion") and does his job very well. Lyrics is written in complex English, especially for non-English band. Some tracks are purely symphonic or instrumental, so it isn't a power metal that everyone expects.

Albums available on youtube now, some notable (for my taste) tracks:

More metal:
Old Year's Merry Funeral: https://youtube.com/watch?v=N40hDDmT8bA [Embed]
Strayed Moppet: https://youtube.com/watch?v=3Ma_NBVzTgA [Embed]

Natural Quaternion (also epic): https://youtube.com/watch?v=7Lbjsmv6DHc [Embed]
Сlue of a Scarecrow: https://youtube.com/watch?v=3lj9rpsraJ0 [Embed]
Shades on a Casement: https://youtube.com/watch?v=bVxrvnmLn0U [Embed]

And something crazy: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Yu3YjGRYHX0 [Embed]

Full albums:
Woodland Prattlers: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmU9ARMtcZOzx58eckEoJMKO46yQSHEiX
Handmade Essence: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmU9ARMtcZOzL-KdDyiY35ugn1XY47D_W

On next release they changed lineup and made more punkish sound, I'll maybe post about it later.

Yeah, Blaze wasn't bad, he just didn't fit in band perfectly, especially when singing old songs, because his vocal style was too different. But contemporary songs that was made "for" him were good, and fans complained just because they are stubborn.

Ajattara released new album recently, first for 6 years. I don't think if this band can be counted as unknown, but it surely not popular.

However, they play in pretty niche style, that isn't ok for everyone.

Sad that they didn't do acoustic album like Noitumaa, it was good.

They (Illidiance) label themselves cyber metal, it is actually something like modern melodic death with industrial/electronic influences. Some of their songs are pretty good.

I wasn't being ironic, I just found it funny interpreting this song as "wake up sunshine, it's morning already :)" Now that I think of it, it wasn't funny enough to make a comment, and the fact that I have to explain you a joge you made yourself makes it even less funnier.
I found some of your other comments on this forum to be funny as well so I was also referring to them.

Translation (not artistic of course):

Enter and thick smoke welcomes me at the place
Jazz plays quietly and for spend the time faster
I sit onto a chair ask something to drink
And tell the girl you shouldn't bring it to a table
I'll drink that at the bar it's fine by me
She asks if I need something else
Looks at me and smiles I say of course
You can if I you have the guts

A bit of Sinsemilla Acapulco Gold
So this night would be better then the last one
Sinsemilla Acapulco Gold
So this night would be better then the last one

I remembered there's nothing
To rememember so let's say that's all
The advantage of this place
That here there's a place for such face
Like this connected by a neck
With this anti-body in the toilet
When the night is too much, on the brink of collapse
The guy get out of it too far from it
But back he was carried by the urge
When his pal slapped him in the face
Coz the partied through stupor
Wasn't caused by his popularity
But the blow I talked about it
Enough times before I hope you remember
I hope you remember

Then the back door opens
It's all right it's not the muscles
Came for the last night's money
Or just for you to tremble
But my man that narrow
The one who could wouldn't trust not even me
But he can't do shit about it
Because he wanna sell and I wanna buy
he wanna sell and I wanna buy

Wanna sell and I wanna buy
Wanna sell and I wanna buy
Wanna sell and I wanna buy

trivia: the lyrics, when read in Jamaican, actually go No, woman, nuh cry, where nuh (a clitic of no, with a reduced vowel) negates the verb cry as a weak imperative; so it means "No, woman, you shouldn't cry" with intention of comforting a woman going through a shitty situation, but nobody seems to be aware of that (fucking neurotypicals).

It's similar with German. Just in reverse. The meme that German is a fugly language is fairly widespread. It's a "common knowledge" here too. However after hearing actual everyday Germans talking changed how I feel about it. It can sound very pleasant, especially when women talking. Not in porn.
Also Swede. I thought it's a hard sounding similar to German but even more hard like shaking a barrel half full with nails. Turned out it's almost French to my ears.
Btw probably I prefer sung over spoken French as it's kinda repulsive how news anchors (for example) speak French.

I'll say it. Their voices are the sexiest of all, when done right. I want to say the Dresden area, but I honestly can't say for sure.

I'd say second place goes to Scottish women. Such rich and dynamic vowels, yet such graceful consonants. Even a watered-down Edinburgh accent like Shirley Manson's is heavenly.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=61AdC4G2ULU [Embed]

The black New Yorkers have a very charming accent, too. They retain the delicate hard consonants and the choked vowels, but the typical nasality of the New York woman is thankfully absent, replaced with the soft and warm tones found in the Southern black accent. Neither New Yorkers nor African Americans get much positive attention for their speaking voices, but when they combine it is magical.

At best, it's a tremendously convoluted conlang constructed out of a hodgepodge of languages spoken within what we call Germany, infused with forced neologisms and loanwords. Then it is taught in schools to kids, and those in cities fall for the """"German language"""" meme, ending up speaking in similar mechanical manner as you see from conlangers (Esperantists). It goes along with how Germany is a Prussian imperialist construct; in fact, what we call """"German language"""" was originally the conlang officially spoken at Prussian court.

Go to Switzerland, it's one of the few parts where an unbastardised German language is still widely spoken.

Well others would probably call it something something standardized from dialects something something.
I'm not familiar with the history of tongues but I'm guessing most European (if not all of them) languages went through some artificial "revitalizing" and standardizing about/after Enlightenment. Keeping this in mind isn't a bit harsh what you wrote? I see your point tho.

Madball is classic NY Hardcore punk. Apologize.

True. But more often than not, capital region language was pushed with little regards to rural regional speech, apart for some extensions of vocabulary. This sets German, which is not based on any spoken dialect, apart from examples like French or Spanish (first sometimes also called Francien when referring to actual natural dialects, of which Parisian is the basis of the standard, and second being, well, Castilian).

Some burger neofolk tunes. The German vocals in the first one are Darkwood's contribution; in fact, I found this only because it was listed on Darkwood's website, and the videos on Youtube have tiny view counts.

What does Bernd think? The ambience, instrument choice and so on sound better than Darkwood itself, but the vocals, as is common in Neofolk, are mediocre and insufficiently clear.

I don't know what to tell you. I'm not the one getting angry here over the difference between Hardcore and Metalcore.

Which, by the way, after a <5 minute bit of research, you're not even fucking labelling Madball right. They're Heavy Hardcore, which is apparently the same kind of Harcore/"Extreme" Metal as old school Metalcore like Earthmover and Short Tuesday are anyways. The very subgenre you lost your shit at the mention of. The term you failed at using is synonymous with the term I used correctly. Ibidem, you got pissed off at me over nothing, yet somehow I'm still a dick.

The only difference between the labels is, in the late 00's (long after people stopped giving a shit about original Metalcore, a real parallel to the mid-00's Pop Emo boom), nobody in the industry was pushing Melodic Metalcore as Heavy Hardcore. Century Media and associated dicks told everyone that shit like Shadows Fall, All That Remains, and Diecast was simply Metalcore, and boy oh boy, you took the bait like a good goy. Like I said, <5 minutes on Wikipedia.

To your credit, the subgenre has like 5 different names on Wikipedia alone and none of them are worth remembering. Brutal Hardcore sounds more like a fetish website. I guess the sound just didn't have enough punch to unite a scene across geography and terminology.

NY Hardcore isn't even good to begin with. I concede victory, you're still wrong but you made me dedicate 20+ minutes to something I don't even care about. Didn't make me angry, though. Murphy's Law, Cro-Mags, Agnostic Front, memecore on the level of Napalm Death. I bet you like Black Flag, too.

I'm gonna go listen to Nausea, I may have lost an arguement on the Internet but at least I actually have good taste in NY Punk.

PS: you should fly off the handle more often. I like having someone to argue about Punk with. Trigger warning: Spitboy > Bikini Kill

Ok, maybe I'm not always able to tell intentions behind certain posts and I gave up trying to differentiate between posters posting with USball (if there's even more than one) frankly you're all one "Westerner" poster for me, all the posts looks the same, I cannot see distinct characters, I'm guessing you're the Scot with the Britball who posts with Ameriball for some unimaginable reason long time ago but seriously cca half of the posts here are mine...

Pre-teen kids sometimes woo those who they like with being rude to them (because they don't really know what are they doing and why) - boys putting chewed bubble gum into girls hair, girls kick boys' shin etc. - to make them angry or at least lose the indifference toward them.
You're behaving the same by telling me I'm angry or annoyed so you can imagine that and feel that thrill with comes with wooing. Meanwhile ignoring the actual content of my posts.

This is Dystopia's excellent cover of "Cosmetic Plague" by Rudimentary Penii. Such insightful lyrics, hidden under harsh, borderline-inhuman vocals. Between the delivery and the 30 fucking minutes of nothing hiding it after "Diary of a Battered Child", it becomes clear just how important rewarding the attentive listener (and scorning the fickle one) is to these guys.

This spirit of exclusivity is what makes the secrets of Punk Rock much more valuable and beautiful than any other genre, no matter how pretentious or highbrow.

This version is from the lower sound quality, original release of ...The Aftermath, do some digging online and you can get a much clearer and vibrant copy of the album.

Idk, from what I read of opinions, a lot of people like one album but not the others. They vary in style a bit, and several in last case (Kodama) he went just the opposite direction from what he has stated he wants to do with the last album (Shelter) and he doesn't care what fans think about it (many of them hated it).
But idk, so far I have liked all the albums. There's some songs that stand out a lot for me (Sur l'océan couleur de fer, Les Voyages de l'Âme, Éclosion), but even overall it's I'd say one of my fav bands.
Les Discrets has two dark shoegaze albums similar to Amesoeurs, and one dark synth album. I don't know what I think of the last album Prédateurs, it has really nice atmosphere but it simply doesn't feel like it has enough material for a whole album.
Peste Noire is a nationalist black metal band. I'd recommend to start with the self-titled album.

Yeah, I guess I'll put Alcest on my list, too. I am very jaded with big-name acts but sounds like the guy isn't a people pleaser, I appreciate such a mindset.
It's not the kind of thing that you can just pick up and listen to, I'll give you that. But there is a certain state of mind where agony in music is a welcome thing. Different tastes I suppose.

Look, if these gay jokes are making you uncomfortable I'll stop. I don't chase straight guys and I'm not out to harass you, either.

They're somewhat legendary figures amongst Gaidhlig revivalists for being one of the first groups to write original material in Scottish Gaelic. The Pop Rock band Runrig is believed to be the first, having released an LP called 'Play Gaelic' back in the 70's that was almost entirely folk songs and traditional poetry in Gaidhlig set to rock instrumentation; with some dubious original additons.

I think I know what you mean. I've noticed a lot of modern Celtic or British folk music that has this Oriental flavor to its use of strings. I don't know how much of it is legitimately British or Celtic, and/or how much of it is just artistic syncretism. I think the predominant Irish sound as exemplified by Dropkick Murphys may have drowned out everything else present in traditional Celtic or British music.

Follow thy fair sun, unhappy shadow,
Though thou be black as night
And she made all of light,
Yet follow thy fair sun unhappy shadow.

Follow her whose light thy light depriveth,
Though here thou liv’st disgraced,
And she in heaven is placed,
Yet follow her whose light the world reviveth.

Follow those pure beams whose beauty burneth,
That so have scorched thee,
As thou still black must be,
Till Her kind beams thy black to brightness turneth.

Follow her while yet her glory shineth,
There comes a luckless night,
That will dim all her light,
And this the black unhappy shade divineth.

Follow still since so thy fates ordained,
The Sun must have his shade,
Till both at once do fade,
The Sun still proved, the shadow still disdained.

I downloaded the mp3's in this thread and it turns out that I like most of them. (Thank You) However, I was a bit disappointed that only a half dozen or so have tags. For the others I have no idea who the artists are. I'm going to be putting in a few hours Googling to attach names to songs so that I can find albums by those people. On future posts please write the name of the artist on the subject line.

If your music collection isn't properly tagged then there are apps to fix that. For Windows users I suggest using TagScanner to tag entire albums. With a free Discogs account it will tag the album for you automatically.
To tag a mixed collection by various artists Mp3Tag is a better choice

Black Magick SS released new album recently. Although band name and album art sounds nazi, it really isn't very nazi music. It is pretty cool heavy psychedelic rock in 70s style, with slight black-n-roll influence, atmospheric sound and good melodies (I think). Even album's art is made in that hippie aesthetics. Maybe it looks like half-joke project, but they are pretty good.

Some people say that they are side project of some Australian NSBM band though.

>I used to like this band before, but ended up burning out of progressive/psych rock.
Rock is not really a genre, it's more like category, like pop. And progressive is just a method of execution. It burns people out because of a lack of direction in its content, you could just as well say "I like the Good genre, music that is good." It doesn't fulfill the purpose of narrowing down and specifying a meaning.

In order to name an actual genre you need to include a bunch of different stuff without calling out "but that's already its own thing". That's not the point. The point is to give a new name to the things that you have to read in between the lines to notice. And then you need to argue with people who disagree what's the correct thing to notice.

Bernd 04/30/2018 (Mon) 22:41:43 [Preview] No.16215 del
>Rock is not really a genre

Defining music genres is like discussing religion or politics. People will disagree because everybody has their own opinion of what to call a genre and which music fits into it. When it comes to your own music collection the only opinion that counts is your own. I found myself frequently disagreeing with the assigned genres. I use an app to change the genres to what suits the way I think.

Bernd 05/01/2018 (Tue) 13:10:32 [Preview] No.16222 del
I think when people use the word "rock" alone it generally refers specifically to "classic" rock (i.e. dadrock) rather than to other variants, so in that sense I guess you could call it a genre.

Bernd 05/02/2018 (Wed) 18:30:22 [Preview] No.16248 del
I think both uses are valid and depends on the context.

Bernd 05/02/2018 (Wed) 20:28:45 [Preview] No.16262 del
I'd say "rock band" is also a recognised musical ensemble composition, especially rock quartet (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drums)

Bernd 05/02/2018 (Wed) 21:11:51 [Preview] No.16270 del
>Defining music genres is like discussing religion or politics
No, it's a lot more definite, genre is the generative parallel to an ouvre. Discussing genres is a lot like discussing politics, sure, for reasons that are equally embarrassing to everybody present. Classic Rock is a good example, it is indeed a genre, because it's a genre named after rock. You can give any old name to a genre, like spunkgargleweewee, it doesn't really matter the slightest what the content of the name is, it's definition comes from the culture of its realization. When people with similar tastes acquire similar instruments in a similar cultural context, they're going to come to similar conclusions on what music should sound like. Especially since learning is inherently cooperative and they're bound to mimic each other.

The issue with prog rock is that the cultural context has pretty much come to an end. It's dead. The people are dead. There's nothing more to learn, no more unifying direction to go towards, only all directions to scramble out into. Only "new" prog would be it's version of Nu Metal modernism/purism combination that probably exists and is probably shit. The independent strains of progressive essentials are going towards directions that can't be achieved with rock ensembles, so they evolve to accommodate electronic music in, I don't know. Vaporwave.

It wasn't officially a parody, but all his songs could be considered as parody of music. And he is parody of singer too actually, although in early 90s he was better.

These Tarkan songs weren't officially taken from Tarkan, he was silent about it, and after some accusations of staling he said that he got contract with Turkish composers etc. It all was been about media presence and PR, typical self-made scandal.

Random music search
intitle:"index of" "parent directory" (mp3|wma|ogg|m4a|flac|ape) -inurl:(mmnt|hypem)

Specific artist or album search
intitle:"index of" "parent directory" (mp3|wma|ogg|m4a|flac|ape) "artist or album" -inurl:(unknownsecret|mmnt|hypem|listen77)

Generic album search
intitle:"index of" "parent directory" (mp3|wma|ogg|m4a|flac|ape) (album|discography|best|greatest) -inurl:(mmnt|hypem)

Albums by specific artist search
intitle:"index of" "parent directory" (mp3|wma|ogg|m4a|flac|ape) (album|discography|best|greatest) "artist name" -inurl:(mmnt|hypem)

File hosts are another good place to find music. My favorite is Ulozto. It's a great place to get complete albums. Free users have to fill in a captcha but download speed is reasonable and there is no daily limit.

It's always debated at every new album of every band ever.
>they always play the same, boring shit, reeee
>they don't sound like them at all, they sold out, reeeee
And yes, sometimes it feels disappointing when a band goes toward a new direction because people learned to like them for a certain style and sounding.
For me - for example - best Metallica is with Jason at bass. However Load and Reload feels disappointing. While both has a few great songs I listen gladly they really don't fit there and if those would be released by another band they would be all right on their own, but after Master of Puppets even the Black album ain't really fit.
On the other hand there's Pantera. Pre-Anselmo Pantera is crap, from then it's godlike.

Jewish neofolk/martial industrial? It's more likely than you think. Darkwood even did a concert in Israel last year.
This band is so obscure it seems nobody pirated anything, and thus all that can be found from them in the Internet are these three songs. They're slow to build up, but have a nice atmosphere.

On their Youtube and Tumblr pages, they're ambiguous about their power level, associating with imagery like pic related or the Lehi while also giving voice to boomer-tier content.

The first is just a dude talking about stuff.
In Hungarian hadar means talking very fast, almost unintelligibly.

Yes, I've posted some random songs from old albums. I like Skyclad, they had great lyrics (pretty rare thing for metal band) and good music. Sadly, they aren't good as before without Walkyier, who was main songwriter of the band (and also singer, but he wasn't a talented singer tbh). And his new project didn't really started for 10 years.

Hungarian classic maybe from the '80s or early '90s.

Wobbly and chugging, so cool
Rub a puff under your nose, little buddy''

They seem very Americanophile. Was that a significant phenomenon in 80s Hungary? I've heard that young people in the late Soviet Union were captivated by Western culture and that was one factor that helped bring down the system.

I looked it up the band formed in 1986 and that song is from 1989. Their Wiki page was translated to Polish (but no English), kek: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exotic
>They seem very Americanophile. Was that a significant phenomenon in 80s Hungary?
At the end of it, absolutely. But it was a long gradual process. After '56 lots of things changed and the system softened greatly by the 70's. People followed western trends (in music for example, but in fashion as well) and the regime was like: until there's no open resistance people should do whatever they want (of course they cultivated an atmosphere where people could gain favours by ratting out their fellows, so they knew about everything). In Hungary it was much easier to get western goods (mostly via the Yugos), we even had a Pepsi factory since the '70s. My dad had Sony hi-fi, and bought a Sinclair computer in the 80's. Western culture products reached our country too, my parent's generation listened Beatles, Deep Purple and Led Zeppeling. I started listening AC/DC about the regime change, I'm not sure when exactly, I was in primary school. But western movies are reached us. While a tv-show, the Derrick (West German) went from the late '70s in the late '80s people could watch films like Terminator, Alien/Aliens, Predator, Rambo, whatever. First mainly on VHS but by 1989 17% of the tv viewers had access to western satellite channels (I looked this up). I remember my classmates talking about SAT1 and such.
And despite many things reached us through the filter of West-Germany the American things had more impact. "The Land of Promise" this how it was called, people didn't have the concept of Freedom or the American Dream, but they know about the land of opportunities (they've knew about it since the 19th century) and it was enticing. Oh they knew about western themed movies, spaghetti westerns, Bud Spencer n Terrence Hill, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson (I don't think John Wayne was known here tho, his stuff is too early) and they all had huge impact. There were other stuff, like Dukes of Hazzard and such. I don't remember when American cartoons appeared in the early mornings of the weekends (Ninja Turtles and others).
The motif of American things appeared in Hungarian culture products. There was a tv show (shot in 88-89 and aired from '90) about a unit in the People's Army, conscripts, and one of them had the nickname "Rabo" (from his surname Rabovics) whom they made similar to Rambo, with longish hair, bandana etc.
I probably could add more but this post got chaotic enough already.

He is a liberal considering his predecessor. Previous guy (Niyazov) had pretty serious cult, he was called "father of Turkmen people", his book was required to read for everyone, he had golden statue etc. New one has no book, removed president name from oath of loyalty etc. Although new golden statue with him on horse was built of course.

Turkmenistan is post-soviet North Korea, but no one cares. They even have partly-unofficial exit visas, so you can't easily leave. It is pretty interesting, looks like USSR couldn't change their ways of life (comparing to other Central Asian republics who are pretty "modern" with local specific).

There are pretty good photo report about new part of their capital: https://varlamov.ru/1647637.html

The first has a certain bluesy groove. The first minute: the feel when you just want to do your everyday shit in your cozy mongolblock but the ancient life calls.
On second vid. Ofc with the music itself it is already showing how the western cultural "achievements" find their ways to the steppe, but I was kinda conflicted to see all those dudes in Easy Rider mode. It can be viewed other way around as well that the Mongol folk culture penetrates the western culture, and for me who is mainly rock/metal listener it is easier to listen their songs blended into what I'm accustomed to, despite I'm not as insulated from folk music in general how the average "normie" is.

Thanks, not bad, covers are great as they oftentimes give fresh sounding to well known, listened to boredom songs. Same reason I'm fond of live (or recorded live) performances.
Also frequently comes up the idea that certain songs should be instrumental only, or would be good to listen an instrumental version of it. Sadly I ain't see that happening ever. Once, ages ago when I still used Windows I dl'd an equalizer preset for Winamp that filtered somewhat out the vocals. Wasn't good because they were still there ofc, audible so... yeah.

My mother, I as you, don't cry

I send my letter with the post
It finds the house of my mother
Read, my mother, my letter written by blood
I leave my life at Doberdo

My mother, I won't write more letters
A rifle bullet pierced through my heart
In the woods the May bells bury me
The girls in my village mourn me

Nice. Despite electronic music isn't my world it's always nice to meet OC.

We have great many sad songs. We have a saying: "merry with crying, the Hungarian does". It's basically a meme as in everyone know the idea, and not as a lie, it's a common mistake thinking that memes aren't real or jokes that for a real merriment we need to listen (and sing) heart-breaking sad songs while get shitfaced with wine or pálinka.

This one is very known, mostly thanks for Kárpátia, a national rock band, who makes cover to several "soldier songs". Title: Somewhere far from you
https://youtube.com/watch?v=wjkeEgpZiJE [Embed]
(The song plays to about 3:30)
This one is the Kárpátia cover:

I don't see you anymore, no more
As you see my eyes are dewy for you
You say my name in vain, you shed your tears in vain
On the field of battles, somewhere far from you
Where noone mourn me, there I die
You say my name in vain, you shed your tears in vain
On the field of battles, somewhere far from you
Where noone mourn me, there I die

There won't be a patch of green on my desert grave
Bodies of fallen soldiers will be my pillow
Where they put me down, noone lays down on my grave
Noone living, the spring doesn't wakes me with green
The dust will be worn off of me by the wind
Where they put me down, noone lays down on my grave
Noone living, the spring doesn't wakes me with green
The dust will be worn off of me by the wind

anatolian Turks have culture of suffering and have such expresion as well, it's mainly anatolian thing not any western Turk thing, which is most likely related with most ottoman investmens going in balkans rather than here and sufferings because of it, though our is more arabesque if I dont misuse the term.

I'd pos examples but translation is too tedious.

I'm starting to see a pattern.

First one is great.
Third one has bizarre lyrics, but it turns out flaming cows not real ones, just cow-shaped boxes are a genuine Portuguese cultural tradition and the song is about it.

Interesting these pop songs and would bet most rock/hard rock songs are the same. I mean the topic of these lyrics.
"That chick is hot, wanna fuck her, lalalala" and in reverse when grill the vocalist, then it's about some handsome dude she want to mate with basically all of them but maybe drafted in lyrical lines. And for some reason they are very understandable, when I heard this particular song (the original ofc, recorded in 1989) I knew not enough English to understand a song after hearing but I still got the meaning and was a strange feeling (since I was a kid but was interested in grills).

Bernd 01/14/2019 (Mon) 21:35:24 [Preview] No.22365 del

Because common rock music is not really different from pop. In 80s it was almost the same. Also it isn't easy to find another topic when you are person in 20-30, and most of these musicians had that age when wrote this.

Bernd 01/14/2019 (Mon) 21:37:44 [Preview] No.22366 del
Metal has bunch of other topic. Like reindeer grinding or such. They aren't older when they start a band.

Bernd 01/14/2019 (Mon) 21:59:24 [Preview] No.22368 del

Metal bands also have pretty large amount of love songs. especially "light" subgenres of metal. More extreme metal has less love songs, I guess it is also related to "brutalness" of music. But these subgenres also less popular too.

Bernd 01/15/2019 (Tue) 18:31:14 [Preview] No.22398 del
Well, yeah, "sex, drugs, rock & roll" trinity is embedded into all the subgenre of rock and most songs fall into these categories, I would bet.

the main difference is that newskool electro is unorthodox
everything thats made after the 80s is basically newskool electro with rare exceptions
that means everything on Dominance Electricity or Elektrodos labels is newskool electro for example
