Well I've been hitting the gym for about 3 months now and eating like a mofo (I used to be a chronic undereater with no appetite). I managed to put on 3kg (I was 67kg at 180cm when I started) eating around 3000kcal a day, some of that weight ended up around my belly although it's not really noticeable I think. Friends started noticing that my arms got bigger and gurls touch me more often (including this elderly lady who once rested her hand on my butt for like 5 seconds more than she should have).

I go in the morning every day Tuesday to Friday which is nice because it's only old people at that time. Having set up a morning routine where I wake up at 6am, hit the gym, have a big breakfast and then leave for work means I rarely ever skip a workout so I've been very consistent. Before this I'd been doing on-and-off bodyweight training in my room for years but most days I would come back from work with no willpower left to even do a few push-ups. So basically 3 months of consistent training and eating left me more to show than years of inconsistent training and no appetite.

The good thing is about gyms that it's for those who go once they spend money but otherwise too lazy to workout by themselves at home for free.
Your result is understandable, you can't do something half-assed and hope for gains. And actually you can be put as an example to others.

I was in the way and she put her hand on my hip while she passed behind me and then her hand casually slid down on my buttocks and rested there for a while. Other girls have straight up casually felt up my arms at clubs.

Yeah that's right but I didn't realise this until fairly recently. It's like fat people who don't realise that losing fat is simply calories in vs calories out and they either think it has to be something extremely easy (so they try ridiculous fad diets) or extremely hard (so they can make up excuses).
