Restoration thread Bernd 04/28/2018 (Sat) 21:49:28 [Preview] No. 16152
We need BO here.
We need CSS.
We need banners.

Bernd 04/28/2018 (Sat) 21:55:55 [Preview] No.16153 del
Does anyone still have the countryball css?

found it. Although we should take the opportunity to fix the nav bar colour at the top

Bernd 04/29/2018 (Sun) 07:49:56 [Preview] No.16162 del
This is a very good initiative and I support it.

Bernd 04/29/2018 (Sun) 10:26:31 [Preview] No.16166 del
Also Slovbernd posted a link to his countryball repository in the sticky. Maybe that can be used too.
And now I'm not saying at all he is the reason of the balls' disappearing so he could get his ball with a hat.

Sorry I was busy last 2 days and couldn't do anything about the board.
I reuploaded css file and it seems to be working, thanks
>>16154 for having it, because I just checked and realized I didn't have it saved anywhere wew.
All banners are gone and need to be reuploaded. The only restriction for banners on endchan is that they not exceed 48MB. On 8ch standard was 300x100 pixels, but I think we can loosen that standard a bit. If someone here is using phone for browsing then I would like to hear his opinion how much we could loosen it before it gets difficult to view. Obviously I don't want to make board unreadable for anyone.

Bernd 04/29/2018 (Sun) 11:28:57 [Preview] No.16168 del
I also see site is not working properly still. I really wouldn't like to put any work into our board looks just to find out some time later that odili had to do whatever again and we need to start over. Maybe we should wait a few days for everything to get stabilized?

It's all right. Thanks for restoring the CSS.
>>16168
I think we can go on for a while without banners, we'll see how the staff get Endchan together.

is it just me or are balls borked on .xyz?

It seems it's in Ordnung for me.

you need to fix your css

Bernd 12/23/2018 (Sun) 07:28:26 [Preview] No.21473 del
>>21472
Ah, you have problems with the color scheme. None of us experience this, I'm not sure what can be the problem, other more educated Bernds probably can guess.
What browser do you use?

Bernd 12/23/2018 (Sun) 09:46:10 [Preview] No.21477 del
>>21472
Wow, that's fucked.

1) What browser are you using?
2) Can you show us what css files are being loaded. On Ff and forks, right-click, inspect element, style editor. Should look like pic.

must have been something leftover from another Color, i removed cookies - it's ok now

Bernd 12/23/2018 (Sun) 10:08:52 [Preview] No.21481 del
>>21478
Yes, I had a suspicion that was the problem. The way endchan handles user end theme choosing is fucked. Essentially if you change the theme on any board it applies to all boards but still applies the custom css over the top so anything not strictly specified in the custom css is replaced and the /kc css hides the theme choosing options because they are fucked anyway by the custom css. I tried to implement a stricter css at the time the css was hashed out to avoid this but the guy who designed the colour scheme wouldn't have it.

Anyway, if it happens again, go to another board and change to default css there. People have complained to odili about this IIRC but he's always too busy talking to thots on twitter.

Font size isn't smaller than what I have but the kerning is. The letters are closer to each other on your screenshot.
Here's mine.

Site's css uses system fonts (font-family sans-serif), that may or may not also be modified by browser settings.

You may use custom css for this through stylish or something.

Font-size is 75% from your browser's default (in global.css).

>this is a question for operate but you seem more active

how do you use flags? i want to automatically assign an onion to posts made via tor on int ... posiburu?

>>21754
>>21757
I see your post. Why is it posted twice?
Nvm.
From the source of end/int I see that the element of the flag is an img with the class="imgFlag flag-XX". In case of US flag its flag-us. In case if Tor it should be something else I guess.
And erm...

Bernd 12/30/2018 (Sun) 10:05:09 [Preview] No.21760 del

Hmmm. No. In case of Tor, no such thing exist.

cont. Bernd 12/30/2018 (Sun) 10:08:04 [Preview] No.21761 del

In our CSS the rule is assigned to the img element with a certain title. So if we would add an Onion to Tor we would need that element, but that's missing. So cannot do.
Right now I have no idea to solve it, maybe others with more knowledge can help. And yes, bring it to /operate/, Odili or Balrog sure know more.

Yes and no, no flag is currently displayed for certain IPs, which means nothing you can replace in css. You could just stick an onion on every post in the same exact place as the flags and lower the z value so the flags lay on top but then you would needs flags without transparency.

Bernd 01/02/2019 (Wed) 09:55:33 [Preview] No.21946 del

These empty things may be matched with something like this:

a.linkName + span

So, that rule:

a.linkName + span::before {
content: url(data-uri-here);
width, height etc;
}

will add flag, but after user name, not before. I don't see how to add it in proper place, but at least it is something.
