Ever had a favorite restaurant go out of business? Anonymous 06/27/2019 (Thu) 22:56:21 [Preview] No. 21140
It makes me feel kind of depressed that my favorite tea shop went out of business. There weren't a lot of people there, but I liked it because it was quiet and you could sit there and surf the internet without all the noise. It was the quietest places I ever found in the city, and they played soft music or Chrono Trigger/old vidya tunes. I loved to hang out there and read stuff.

It was unique too with walls painted in bubblegum pink and illuminated with neon lights, bookshelves full of weird artifacts against the walls, and really good peach cream tea and crepes. The staff were always had a welcoming smile, and the server wore a suit. It wasn't unaffordable either.

Fuck capitalism. This is why we can't keep nice things. There is no other restaurant that has any of those things within a 20 mile radius. When one person tried to do something different, he probably went bankrupt for it.

I bet a fucking Starbucks with 80 decibel coffee grinders and commercialized music will replace it now.

Without capitalism you would be dead, and there would never have been a tea shop.

Nonsense. I was biking, it started raining, and I took shelter under the roof of a library. A security guard saw me and invited me into his office where he gave me a great cup of tea and asked me where I was from. This was in Japan.
