“Jobs Guarantee” would only lead to idiots who have no productive skills or proper education being hired via government enforcement. We can only imagine how this will turn out for companies and bureaucracies throughout the country. Expect shit-tier services (or even lack of) and the worst quality products you could imagine. Oh, and the moronic draconian failed policies from bureaucracies would increase ten-fold.
"Free healthcare for all" is a total lie on its face. Nothing is "free", someone has to pay the expenses. Inb4 "muh government will pay!" BULLSHIT! Your government is funded by TAXPAYERS: working class stiffs. Therefore WE pay for it all, via massive tax increases. And such a program would cost Trillions of dollars every fucking year. Nothing is "free" because taxpayers have to pay for this funding!
"Universal Income!" OK more "free" shit for the lazy leaches and the more working class taxpayers have to pay to fund it all. NOT "FREE" AT ALL. Nothing is free: this is economics 101 which most leftists know simply nothing about.
Sorry to burst your bubble but these policies are a train wreck. Nothing is free because someone has to doll out the money and in every freaking case this means the taxpayers, the working class foots all the bills!
On the other hand, breaking up the big Wall Street Banks is literally the ONLY good solution these leftists provide. I agree with them on that. And we need to either nationalize and audit or completely end the Federal Reserve as well.
>>18150 Great video, gets right down to the fraud that plagues our economy today. Its a sad joke we even call the USSA "capitalist" anymore. Nope. We destroyed our currency with government debt, outsourced most productive industry, have the biggest welfare state on the entire planet, have the biggest police state since the Soviet Union, what a joke to even consider this country "capitalist" anymore. Used to be many years ago, not at all anymore. Now the leftists say we need to go full blown communist claiming we are privileged and deserve everything for "free". What a joke, what a fucking joke of a nation.
The ONLY way you could convince enough taxpayers to adopt a program like this would be to actually tax mega corporations such as Amazon, as well as very rich CEOs. No increasing taxes on average workers! The problem is those CEOs and their businesses would simply move elsewhere to avoid those tax increases (these people are rich enough to move wherever they like at the drop of a dime). So in the end, no matter who you try taxing, you end up with more accumulating debts and more poverty. Like it or not, if you want to remain in a first world country, you must have industry and workers, there is no way around this.
Finland has also tried "Basic Guaranteed Income" with no success. It was later canceled. Reason? The government refuses to say why. I suspect too much debt insolvency was draining their own resources and budgets. Or perhaps the debt insolvency was starting to hurt the value of their currency (too much rising price inflation, which debt creates). In economics 101 you learn that deficits fuel price inflation, and thus surpluses do the opposite creating strength in currency (thus a decline in prices). Lesson is this: debt can be very cancerous to society and the economy if not kept on a tight leash. You cannot maintain an economy forever solely on debt alone, history proves this very well.
>>18150 The only reason the US has gotten away with all of this fraud is because in 1974 the US and OPEC nations created "the US petrodollar reserve currency" for global trade. The US dollar (USD) was tied to global oil trade. Thus other nations had to buy US T-bonds so they could purchase oil from the OPEC monopoly.
If we were to have done even one quarter amount of the fraud presented in this video WITHOUT the US petrodollar reserve currency status? Our economy would have tanked long ago and today the US would be a third world country much like Africa.
Keep that in mind as the derailing of our reserve currency status continues via Russia and China (among other rogue nations). Only a matter of time at this point.
Isn't there ways to block CP content other than IP bans? Such as detection of the image files and having some kind of auto-filter. Or perhaps just banning the ranges of proxies being used, this would likely cut out every free proxy service in use but still allow most private VPN users to post. Most private VPNs are cheap so users could just use one of those those instead of Tor. I doubt the spammer is going to buy a dozen different private VPN services just to keep spamming CP. If the website was being hit by a spam bot, add mandatory captcha. If it persists, shut the site down for a day or two with a notice to the spammer on the front page "CP abuse has been reported to the FBI." That would likely shut the fucker up.
Just watched black panther. Not deep or amazing, but I liked it better than any capeshit Ive seen in years. The movie teaches you that choosing leaders by hand to hand combat is retarded, and that you can have the most technologically advanced system but if you have a primative political system you can lose it all.
10 Cloverfield Lane. A psychological horror film. After getting in a car accident, a woman is taken to an underground shelter by a doomsday prepper and one of his former construction workers, both who claim the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack. The woman takes some big risks to get to the truth.
Panic In Year Zero. An old campy classic survivalist film. Soon after a family leave suburban Los Angeles on a camping trip the Baldwins note unusually bright light flashes coming from a great distance. CONELRAD broadcasts hint at the start of a thermonuclear war. The family initially attempts to return to Los Angeles, but soon abandons these plans as panicked refugees climb over one another to escape the fallout. The decides that the family must find refuge at their secluded vacation spot. From there on they must ward off marauders and other criminals while trying to survive post-war.
3 Women. Good old film, kinda cornball but great storyline and talented acting. Pinky is an awkward young teen who starts work at a spa in CA. Pinky becomes friends with a fellow spa attendant (Millie), who later allows Pinky to become her next roommate. Tensions begin to rise between Pinky and Millie over their living situation. Quarrels break out between the two regarding past and present male relationships and emotions get to them and they drive each other stir crazy. Not the happiest of endings.
There is a new map going around exposing the most expensive cities in the US to live. 4 out of 5 of the most costly places to are in Commiefornia (go figure).
These are not ordinary "million dollar homes", but regular middle class homes that cost $1 million or more to live in. This is due to massive debt insolvency, unpunished corruption within the market place and local governments as well as too much beurocracy which kills industry and growth.
Here are the Top 10 MOST EXPENSIVE cities to live in the US today:
Rank | City | % of $1mm homes | Median home price #1 | San Jose, CA | 53.81% | $1,069,000 #2 | San Francisco, CA | 40.03% | $891,000 #3 | Los Angeles, CA | 17.23% | $622,000 #4 | New York, NY |11.81% | $454,000 #5 | San Diego, CA | 10.55% | $563,000 #6 | Seattle, WA | 9.90% | $461,000 #7 | Boston, MA | 7.95% | $459,000 #8 | Washington, DC | 5.27% | $395,000 #9 | Miami, FL | 3.79% | $267,000 #10 | Denver, CO | 2.65% | $391,000
Ah what the hell might as well respond while waiting for my potatoes to cook. You see, kikes are the problem, and kikeism, which is the love of money. BUT not money per se, but credit/equity. Any amount of study of finance and humanity shows that humans will equate themselves to being well off, if they have equity greater than their debts. This is a lie, a kike lie, told to your parents and to mine. That supposed wealth runs through the kikes banks. Mort-gage means death-agreement. So, these supposedly credit-rich people who perceive wealth in their house equity, are actually being killed through their stupid beliefs. Sadly they may not see the results in their lifetime, it will be their own kids, who will suffer. Those same kids, would mock people at the local "trailer park" as being "trash", and that's the rub. Some fuckin kike at a kibbutz allows himself and his children to be as poor as fuck, but if you live in a mobile house with wheels and have strong truck to tow that home, you are called "trash". See I realized long ago that stick built home dwelling was going to be the ruin of cities, and America. I realized it's a waste of time to give fucks about what people think when those people are dumb as fuck and hypnotized by the kike-credit value schemes that all terminate in a worse nation. Landlords and speculators are scum of the worst kind. I tell you honestly" Being able to own completely, and to move, your domicile (sure it 'trails' behind your strong truck with class five hitch) is to be a true American. I would nuke the cities and give the mobile folk enough time to flee, although most actually have already fled. One need also examine the way the kikes and their words/terms such as trailer trash, actually serve to devalue the good older trucks and awesome trailers like what I own. Newer mobile domiciles are shittily made, by shit companies that gauge themselves not on "do we make a good home for the mobile folk" but on shitty kike valuation schemes. Indeed the kids of today are poisoned by the web, by schoolmates, it's a sea of bad thinking. When nukes fly, me and my friends that live rural, will already be conditioned to live on the land, not inside homes that are too big, and too costly. Another aspect of the truth above, is that newer trucks cost 50k USD (a credit debt note) whereas a decent (and superior) Chevrolet from 20 years ago, will cost you 5k USD. Thus, what you are seeing is the culmination of dumb fuckers, obeying the jew and being shame-motivated along wrong roads and down wrong paths. I live among the poor, and sure some of them are methheads and boozers, but not all of them. But who cares? Their sicknesses are simply caused by their own schema in relation to the kike's credit-world, and they could heal themselves if they reject the kike's value schema. Having positive credit and common sense and flight ability, are things no kike can value. All who worship credit or outward displays of wealth, are nigger ,emtality, which is why the kike loves to use niggers as their foil. True folk will always be close to the earth, and will live in the rural. And true folk do not wait for a neighborhood to be built by kike landlords, they just go where they want.
>>18170 I agree with a lot of what you have to say BUT...
>Mort-gage means death-agreement.
Possibly in many cases, sadly yes. Not always. It really all depends *where* you get a mortgage and *how much it costs* as well as *your income* (what kind of job you have). It is still possible in the US to find decent mortgage prices (although you will NOT find these in the cities or in much more populated areas). Note I'm not talking about having to be a hillbilly in the hicks either. The key is to find areas with lower population growth, lower property taxes, low mortgage rates and where there is some kind of work around the area you are trained for (this could be plumbing, carpentry, dentistry, law enforcement, refinery or it could be an engineering profession or in the field of designing architecture for nearby businesses or local governments). As long as you can find work around a more conservative area with lower taxes and lower costs of living you can live just fine. Just don't go blowing your savings on drugs, fancy vehicles, or hookers or other nonsense like that.
>>18170 >>18171 The reason so many people are struggling is simply because they have been conned and duped like a bunch of schmucks. They have been conned by 'progressive' propaganda.
Such propaganda can easily be redacted: "you need to go to college and take those huge student loans goyim!" Not true at all. Trade schools are cheaper and there are actually more jobs available in those trades. "Bad goyim! You must live in the most progressive states like CA and NY, you must live in our major cities to find a job!" Nope. Much cheaper living in some small town and learning a trade to find a decent productive job! "You need to keep up with the Jones, keep buying our latest trendy tech gear and trendy clothing from Macy's or Target!" No thank you, I prefer Good Will! "Oy vey! Buy this expensive laundry detergent with unnecessary petro-chemicals!" Nope, I can easily make my own detergent in bulk for only 1/4th the price.
>>18171 Yeah I understand your points. Every good white person will have their own position on how to react to the utter stranglehold that kikes and their familiars have on our world. To your point, hell yes there are good white folk living in homes, and I bless their efforts. I would say they probably should have a bug out plan to get to my location tho or to "rural hickville" ha ha because the kike's mortgage and credit schemes will win in the end, if our leaders continue to avoid the discussion. It's like soldiers on the front lines, yes, they are brave to take that job or home near the city, but let these also have a fallback position and rally point. It's one thing to vacation with the family in the RV but can they abadon their posessions to be better fighters in the future? Have they decided what to leave behind? Furthermore the wise white folk will invariably have kids who are to some degree fucked up by kikeisms and "school" and so when they do have to flee due to war or whatnot (I fully expect whites to win the race war quickly we have been pushed too far) they will have a hard time keeping their family intact. I would advise such fathers and mothers of good character to not only have a bug out plan but to speak of the future flight of their zones. Mortgages and credit will ruin every city if the kikes are allowed to continue at their current rate. Already they have utterly ruined basic notions like "technology" and "news", and these victories for them, embolden them to continue their assaults on good white folk. Great points tho about how one spends their money. Ironically as me and my lady do not drink or use chems (I do grow and smoke bud tho) we are among the more stable people in our location. I always have a tool to lend to a neighbor but I don't begrudge him being a fuckin drunk. A man's habits are what matter. But yes I know many good families have sold themselves to their bankers.
>>18173 >I fully expect whites to win the race war quickly we have been pushed too far
There won't be a race war no matter hard some are pushing for it. Furthermore that objective is what the kike-run media is *trying desperately to stir. They need to create chaos and tension because they want to shift blame from themselves and their banking cabal. They want the masses pointing figures at one another when the economy collapses. And why would our economy collapse? This is why in a nutshell: >>18150 (do take some time to watch that video, it is jam-packed with everything you need to know about our economy today: its a total fucking fraud).
When SHTF, whites won't want to be in the middle of this provocateured crisis, they want to be as far away from it as possible TO SURVIVE. This means having some kind of land, or homestead somewhere. Get out of debt, become self-sufficient as possible, be well armed and don't be afraid to defend what you worked hard to own. Working hard is not much of an option for most folks today, therefore they should do what is common sense and locate the best areas where there are low taxes, cheaper mortgages/cheaper living, less regulations and less bureaucracy. Anywhere they can save more money and have the means to prep (smaller towns tend to be great because there are a lot like minded folks like that with much less crime rates).
I literally tried to go to emuparadise to download a rom for the first time in years, and I was struck with this news. It's the day we always feared would come.
The internet is no longer the wild west where warez was everywhere and very convenient. Gradually media companies are clamping down on what we used to take for granted. The era of worshiping hackers and the Matrix has come to an end. The next generation will abide by laws, and buy all things in a legit way.
yea I went a couple months ago and official nintendo releases were taken down, so I tried to grab some other things, and a lot of the big companies like Konami and Square seemed to already have got them to take things down to start.
feels bad, but it'll just move to torrents/p2p and stuff which is a tad more convenient and inconvenient at the same time.
While the world remains focused on ground zero of the latest emerging markets crisis, Turkey, and whether contagion from its plunging currency will further pressure global assets, a new - well old - threat has emerged.
In an unexpectedly sharp attack on the ECB, in two separate posts on Twitter, Claudio Borghi who is the euroskeptic head of the budget committee in Italy’s lower house, stressed that not only is Italy’s spread with German bonds widening, but also the ones of other nations like Spain are doing so. He added that "either the ECB will provide a guarantee or the Euro will be dismantled" as "there is no third option."
Vediamo se oggi cominciano ad accorgersi che salgono anche gli spread di Spagna e c. e che solo un fesso poteva pensare che con BC inattiva potesse salire solo lo spread di un paese?
— Claudio Borghi A. (@borghi_claudio) August 13, 2018
Io sono sereno come l'arcobaleno... ormai credo che il meccanismo sia innescato. O arriverà la garanzia Bce o si smantellerà tutto... Non vedo terze vie.
— Claudio Borghi A. (@borghi_claudio) August 13, 2018
Commenting on the interview, several sellside desks have cautioned that this seems like something the ECB is unlikely to do as it represents a destabilizing stance and is thus bearish for the EUR.
In a subsequent interview, moments after his tweet, Borghi said that "there cannot be a system at the mercy of market movements" without any shields by the central bank - in other words, Borghi appears to be very much against a free and efficient market in which price discovery is allowed especially on such assets as Italian bonds - and noted that "it is significant that an external event like Turkey that has nothing to do with Italy unleashes such an effect."
Borghi warned about the upcoming end of the ECB's QE which as we noted previously has been the sole buyer of Italian debt, and whose absence threatens to send Italian bond yields sharply higher: "Nowadays there is a system that has a residual amount of quantitative easing, but with everybody knowing that this is being phased out and will come to an end soon”
>>18152 You know who circumcise far more babies than Jews? Christians.
>The murder of Palestinian children. There shouldn't be a Palestinian state. The Arabs have the entire Middle East as their shitty third world, and now that the Jews are developing Israel you want them to let Hamas and the crazy Muslims kill them with rockets.
>Multi-culturalism and mass immigration that's destroying Europe.
It's Muslims destroying Europe. Notice how every virtually time you list an atrocity the root cause is religion. The world would be better off without religion and the sooner you accept that, the better it will be for you.
“You know what I was thinking about today? I was thinking about those street gangs they have down in Los Angeles, those Crips and those Bloods. And I was thinkin about that bunch of new laws they came up with in the 1980s, I think it was, to combat those street gangs, those Crips and those Bloods. And, if I remember rightly, the gist of what those new laws were saying was, if you join one of these gangs, and you’re running with them, and down the block one night, unbeknownst to you, one of your fellow Crips or your fellow Bloods shoot up a place or stab a guy...well then, even though you may not know nothing about it and even though you may have just been standing on a street corner, minding your own business..what these new laws said was you’re still culpable. You’re still culpable by the very act of having joined those Crips and those Bloods in the first place. Which got me thinking, Father...that whole type of situation is kinda like you church boys, ain’t it? You got your colors, you got your clubhouse. You’re, for want of a better word, a gang. And if you were upstairs smoking a pipe and reading your Bible...while one of your fellow gang members is downstairs fucking an altar boy, well...Father, just like those Crips and just like those Bloods, you’re culpable..cause you joined the gang, man. I don’t care if you never did shit, you never saw shit, you never heard shit. You joined the gang, you’re culpable. And when a person is culpable to altar boy-fucking, or any kind of boy-fucking, cause I know you guys didn’t really narrow that down...then you kinda forfeit the right to come into my house and say anything about me or my life, or my daughter or my billboards.. So why don’t you just finish up your tea there, Father, and get the fuck out of my kitchen."
Israel and Palestine should learn to get along, but both act like a bunch of third world chimps in the sand desert called the Middle East. Quite frankly I don't like Jews or Muslims but they have every right to believe whatever they want to. However, no one should be force subjected to any religion either. They need to learn to be civilized: live and let live.
>It's Muslims destroying Europe.
AND the EU too. Don't forget the EU and their vassal state governments which not only ALLOW this to happen, but also ENCOURAGE it! Don't shift all the blame to the migrants: its also the NGOs run by people like George Soros and the politicians he lobbies. Its also the kike-owned media (most CEOs for major networks happen to be kikes just like George Soros!) Coincidence!? I think not. They are all to blame.
You know what I suggest? I suggest Western nations get the hell out of the Middle East altogether and let the Muslims and Jews kill each other off. Meanwhile, secure our God damned borders already!
The greatest men in history are more likely to be atheists than the population. Imagine if we had more atheists.
"I am also [along with fellow entrepreneurs Bill Gates, Linus Torvalds and Larry Ellison] atheist or agnostic. I’ve never been to church and prefer to think for myself." -Steve woziniak, cofounder of apple.
>>18117 >The greatest men in history >Bill Gates [Microsoft] >Steve Woziniak [Apple]
Give me a fucking break. I don't look up to greedy fat cat sellouts who are in bed with the Chinese govt. Why these two companies aren't being slapped with tariffs in this current trade war is beyond me.
>>18131 As far as I'm concerned if the so-called "American companies" are hiring folks in China or some other country, then they are not really American at all. Their leaching off American consumers while providing jobs for foreigners. Fuck 'em all!
We all knew lavabit was decent, before the assholes at the FBI shut it down. inbox.com no longer allows new users. Hushmail sold out. ProtonMail looks great but is way too flashy for my browser to function properly. I've heard about cock.li but have yet to try their service.
Anyone else know of any other good alternative email services?
Requirements: must allow anonymity (aliases allowed, no phone number or other registration mandates). Easy to use. Not too picky. Will not interfere with normal users. Nothing too flashy either.
There is mailinator.com which you can randomly create an inbox to send stuff too, but its all made public from their website and you can't use it as an actual email. You can use it as a pseudo-anonymous service to help create multiple random accounts on other social or file sharing platforms by creating dozens of different inboxes. [Some social media services have caught on to mailinator 'abuse' and have blocked that domain for that reason though.]
>>18109 Looks like it. I don't understand how the tally got you to be more nationalist and supporting capitalism while at the same time being a revolutionary progressive, lol. But thats what makes this fun, it tallies your perspectives and graphs the way you think regarding all kinds of issues. The gray area likely means we could shift one way or another depending on the issues at hand which clarifies the amount of leeway we have.
>>18110 I think part of the issue is some of the questions like, is revolution always bad? or something like that. Obviously no, it's kind of hard to think that as an American at least. Some of the questions to I wasn't sure if they were asking from the perspective of the country I was in or from an absolute standpoint. I always took the neutral route on more than a few of the questions.
>>18111 True. I am more neutral on those kinds of questions because revolutions can have both good and bad outcomes. You could have a constitutional pro-freedom revolution (and thats good). You could have a communist revolution and thats a very bad thing. You could have an industrial revolution (great for prosperity and the national economy). You could have an anarchist revolution which destabilizes society and subverts common law. So it all varies what kinds of revolutions they speak of.
As per the link, attached pic does not record this additional tag: "Pragmatism: politics objectively boil down to looking at where the problems are and trying to solve them according to the means available."
First impression: this appears well in the ballpark of my own belief system. I'd have to take the test a few more times, spaced over about a month for comparison to say for sure.
>>18095 Bioweapons but its outlawed. And like I said, if our government wanted to do it they would have already done it. They want wars because it lines the bureaucrats' and MIC pockets. Greed, that simple.
As far as oil, Saudi Arabia is relying on the Yemen wars to steal land and oil reserves from Yemen next door to them. Why? Because 90% of the oil reserves in Saudi Arabia are depleted. Its about 15% oil, 85% water extraction today, and they just flush the water and filter the oil to sell. But the Yemen reserves are full of fresh oil thus the wars in Yemen.
Turkey is coming online soon with some new oil pipelines to compete with the US and Russia. They have plenty of reserves too, which is why the US tried an attempted coup against Turkey's Erdogan (a few years back) and now Trump's sanctions against them and Iran too. All about oil reserves and economic competition throughout the region.
>>18095 Ironic thing is we don't have to rely on OPEC at all for oil. The United States has PLENTY - more than enough - oil to supply its economy with. You won't hear this in the mainstream media but its 100% fact. Not only that, we are the Saudi Arabia of coal (or should I say Yemen of coal?)... we have TONS of energy resources here.
Back to the point. Why do we depend so much on war for oil? Bigger profits, bigger government budgets, bigger military. It all comes down to greed. If we wanted to we could completely get out of the Middle East - any time - and become energy independent with the resources the US already owns. Not just oil and coal bro. Solar! Wind! Nuclear! Thorium! Possibly suppressed energy resources as well but thats another topic altogether.
>>18103 Part of it is not so much that we (the US the west) rely on OPEC in the sense that we'd be hopeless without them but that they'd be hopeless without us. Like if you think there is extremism and western hatred in the middle east now, if we stopped buying their only resource from them we'd fuck with their economy and then we wouldn't even have the oligarchs on their side. Historically, the antebellum plantation owners had comparative wealth to the rich oil barons of today. After slavery was abolished and the cotton gin was invented among other reasons their wealth plummeted. This led to all sorts of trouble in the southern states after the war. Now imagine an economic collapse happening in the Middle East where there are already volatile extremists, instability and uncertainty. Not to mention, and I'm guessing here, but they don't ever talk about any other industries in these countries that aren't oil/petrol related. Basically, the fuel bought from OPEC is, at least in some people's minds, a way to keep a region full of zealots from hating us completely and to foster some sort of relationship with them.
>>18104 >Like if you think there is extremism and western hatred in the middle east now, if we stopped buying their only resource from them we'd fuck with their economy and then we wouldn't even have the oligarchs on their side.
True. What we'd need to do is have secure boarders and proper vetting of people entering our country from abroad. We could easily deploy military assets to our boarders, armed. We could easily have bomb detection and dogs sniffing around the airport terminals. And extensive background checks BEFORE foreigners entered the US.
>Basically, the fuel bought from OPEC is, at least in some people's minds, a way to keep a region full of zealots from hating us completely and to foster some sort of relationship with them.
Keep in mind we have nukes and other artilleries. If the Middle Eastern nations didn't like it, they can suck their thumbs and cry. If they try anything against us, then we could wipe them the fuck out as their economy crumbles. Either or.
>>18106 I really don't see any situation where nuclear force is going to be authorized unless it's highly limited strikes against military targets, preventative or retaliatory to be honest my guy. They're just a deterrent against major powers but not against any asymmetric warfare. Nukes and aircraft carriers are like the trophy wives of MIC controlled countries.
>>18081 Probably not. Pretty much any conversation or thread on /b/ goes no where. That's part of the fun. It's called random cause we're supposed to have wacky FUN! You can take it seriously if you want but it's doubtful anyone is going to reply in kind.

>>18026 Ever hear of bullet casting? People can easily make their ammo with "smokeless powder" (aka a nice name for gun powder grain) and a single press kit. Go to any gun store, or go to any chain like Bass Pro or Cabellas and you can buy yourself cheap bulk empty cartages, primers, smokeless gun powder and a press kit.
Recommended if you really fear SHTF (unless you have 10,000s bullets already stocked up like some preppers do).
Thinking about getting myself one of those CNC mills in the near future as I rather work with metal than plastic when it comes to crafting firearm parts. Thing is good quality CNC mills are damn expensive, I can afford one but it drains some of the savings I have (which I use to keep paying my bills).
The ultra-liberal and frequently overturned U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit just ruled that the Second Amendment protects one’s right to carry a gun openly outside of the home.
For better or for worse, the Second Amendment does protect a right to carry a firearm in public for self-defense. We would thus flout the Constitution if we were to hold that, ‘in regulating the manner of bearing arms, the authority of [the State] has no other limit than its own discretion.’ Reid, 1 Ala. at 616. While many respectable scholars and activists might find virtue in a firearms-carry regime that restricts the right to a privileged few, ‘the enshrinement of constitutional rights necessarily takes certain policy choices off the table.’
Unless the panel’s decision is reversed en banc, the two decisions will have to be reconciled. When that happens, it seems most likely either that (a) the court will strike down the open carry bans in Hawaii and California, or (b) the court will adopt the argument, presented by the plaintiffs in Peruta, that a state can choose to ban either open or concealed carry, but could not prohibit both. Watch this space.
The fact that an ultra-liberal court affirmed Americans’ right to openly carry a handgun is a huge win for all Americans, even if the court is dropping breadcrumbs they hope the U.S. Supreme Court picks up to ultimately restrict gun rights nationwide.
The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action applauded (NRA-ILA) a ruling by a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday that confirmed the Second Amendment protects the right to carry a firearm outside the home for self-defense.
“This is a critical issue for law-abiding gun owners who want to exercise their right to self-defense outside the home,” said Chris W. Cox, executive director, NRA-ILA. “The Second Amendment clearly protects the right to bear arms in public.”

I don't care if users disagree with me, they have every right to express their own opinions. HOWEVER, they should not have the right to deliberately spam threads they don't like. I wish the BO would re-consider that and at least just block the nasty pictures from being posted.
stars and bars are pretty cool tbh its just a unifying symbol that was common to all the Confederate states in the war of northern aggression, and subsequent hardship. misery loves company, and the south was a miserable place after the northern rape. its a common symbol for southern states to bond over
Wrong. It simply was the "rebel flag" during the time of the civil war, which had nothing to do politics and everything to do with economic upheaval and different opinions about fiscal solutions during those times. One side wanted slavery because of super cheap labor costs. Another side wanted to free the slaves and allow them to become consumers and land owners in society, to integrate with the white citizenry. The latter side won.
If you don't even know this by now and you went to college to buy yourself a degree you wasted money because the history is widely available to publicly research.
>>17988 On issue of college - which is completely separate from the history of the civil war - I still recommend trade school for *most the population. If you actually want to become an architect, astronaut, doctor, lawyer, archaeologist, an engineer or tech expert then college is the way to go since you need their advanced studies for those kinds of professional careers. However most people don't have or need these kinds of jobs so for the majority trade schools are a much cheaper and more convenient solution.
Greeks/Romans believed we were made of atoms and tended to think all forms of creationism were ridiculous. Lucretius believed in a kind of proto-darwinian natural selection around 100 BC. The pagans were relatively advanced empiricists. After that the Christian virus was worse than the black death since it triggered the Dark Ages. You don't get to hear much about it because the church propaganda has been so strong. Edward Gibson's book the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire is a classic and it ctiticized Christianity for turning the people away from Earthly affairs after Emperor Augustine, even as the barbarians were at the gate. Christianity fermented violence and strife from intolerance towards the rich and educated pagans and all literary work by pagans, plunging people into dogma and ignorance, and hastening the destruction of the Roman empire. Edward's defining book was censored when the Catholic church added it to the Index Librorum Prohibitorum.
If there had been no Christianity/monotheism by now we would have cures for cancer, genetically engineered cat girls, massive VR video games with centuries of programming, huge automated factories on the moon, other colonys throughout the solar system and sent a generational mother ship would be half way to Alpha Centauri. I'll never forgive Christianity for depriving me of Alfheim Online and Chobits in my bedroom.
>>17973 The stock market represents the global economy, not domestic. A lot of people get confused but just because stocks are up or down does not make it "bad" or "good"... also, traders like volatility, volatile markets. They buy low, sell high. Boom bust cycles are good for economic growth. Static consistency is dangerous to a free market. Keep that in mind.
>>17973 The biggest mistake was right after the crash of 2008 where we bailed out the insolvent banks. In any free market capitalist system they would have been forced into bankruptcy, not bailed out with taxpayer money.
Bailouts, subsidies, even tariffs are awful for economies and should all be eliminated across the board (globally). Let the market roll with supply and demand. Let the consumers decide the fate of the markets, not governments. Thats freedom. Thats capitalism.
