Meant to add that after the US withdrawal it can go a number of different ways, they may get regional autonomy but remain part of Syria (this seems likely with the Russian negotiating), all out independence is pretty unlikely but the SAA will most likely try and make some kind of joint-control agreement, there's also always the chance that the SAA could just crush them through military force but that is seeming less likely as well
