Illinois' Police State Threatens To Euthanize Police Dogs If Marijuana Is Legalized Reader 05/11/2018 (Fri) 15:03:11 Id: 714e3c [Preview] No. 8337
An Illinois county official has threatened that if marijuana is legalized — a move favored by 66% of Prairie State citizens — they will euthanize all dogs trained to identify the drug.

Chad Larner, who heads training at the K-9 Training Academy in Macon, reportedly made the comments to the Bloomington Pantagraph.

Larner reportedly told the paper that retraining the dogs would likely lead to “extreme abuse.”

“The biggest thing for law enforcement is, you’re going to have to replace all of your dogs,” Macon County Sheriff Howard Buffett told the paper. “So to me, it’s a giant step forward for drug dealers, and it’s a giant step backwards for law enforcement and the residents of the community.“

Buffett told the paper that law enforcement would likely have to replace all of its dogs.

Illinois lawmakers are considering a proposal that would expand the use of medical marijuana to fight the state’s opioid crisis and make Illinois the 10th state to legalize the drug. The Senate bill would allow individuals who qualify for opioid prescriptions to apply for the state’s medical cannabis program, the Southern Illinoisan reported .

The proposal would create a pilot program where patients can take a physician certification to a dispensary to receive medical marijuana. Dispensaries would have to verify the certification and be required to dispense medical cannabis in set amounts tied to the recommended duration of the opioid prescription.

The bill overwhelmingly passed in the Senate. The Illinois House Rules Committee has now been asked to review the legislation. A recent poll showed that 66 percent of the state’s residents support the move.

This is completely uncalled for and ridiculous. They could bring those dogs to a shelter and I'm sure people would adopt some of them. They are just sore that their quotas on arrests will take a hit (and mandatory arrest quotas should be outlawed for obvious reasons anyway). Not into getting stoned, I don't think thats a good idea, never liked the feeling of drugs, but as long as stoners don't go around looting, raping or killing people then they should be left alone if all they want to do is bake their brains all day. They typically learn to reform when they need to maintain a full-time job and getting stoned would interfere with that.

drug users are subhuman filth and would not care about anything as long as they get their fix, their errant violent outbreaks will happen even when drugged, if anything burgers should do anything in their power to stop drug consumption altogether (this includes nicotine and alcohol)

>don't be silly goyim! softcore drugs won't lead you to increasingly seek other substances with more powerful effects.
And yes, degenerate consciousnesses altering drugs and everyone who defends them are trash.

That's not what the kikemedia has been saying for decades you false flagging faggot. They're the ones making the claim weed is a gateway drug. People aren't turning to hardcore drugs in this state because they toked up.

We are talking about marijuana here. And as much as I do not condone it, and highly recommend people stay away from it, I'm not going to lie to people claiming its some kind of "hard drug", the most likely thing this plant will do is give you the munchies... maybe it may make some users a bit paranoid if they smoke it 24/7, but as for addiction? Nope. Marijuana is not addictive, however it does kill brain cells and is bad for your lungs which is one reason I recommend staying away from it.

I don't think OP is defending drugs, just those dogs. Why kill dogs over an issue like this? That is not right, and if police actually kill their dogs over some thorny political issue then they are not much better than some drug addicts who behave belligerent throwing pissy fits. The cops need to stop their fear mongering and threats, its getting out of control. We should be talking about the possibility of animal cruelty.

Illinois PD: "We either kill dogs or $$$ on jailing stoners!"
I think the choice has already been cemented by the Illinois Governor's budget.
