Page 264 of "Principles of Computer Security"

"Placing a wireless device behind a firewall does not do any good, because the firewall stops only physically connected traffic from reaching the device. Outside traffic can come literally from the parking lot directly to the wireless device and into the network"

Page 283
"A technique called war-driving involves using a laptop and software to find wireless networks from outside the premises. A typical use of war-driving is to locate a wireless network with poor or no security and obtain free Internet access, but other uses can be more devastating. A simple solution is to place a firewall between the wireless access point and the rest of the network and authenticate users before allowing entry."

Bernd 04/03/2017 (Mon) 15:47:31 [Preview] No. 4859 del
So basically the Big Book of Science says:
1. you can't block traffic to a wireless device with firewall
2. best way to protect wireless APs is to block the traffic with a firewall

Nod really. The second one is about keeping the immigrants on the wireless borderlands with a wall so they can't plug their ethernet cable into our wimmenz.

Also the Islamic Revolution swept away an eternal Anglo puppet state.
To be honest what can be said about ISIS also can be said about just any of the Muslim countries. It all depends on who is with who.
For us it's bad to tie our fate to only one power because it will cost us our independence and sovereignty. The cooperation of countries which the EU makes possible in theory is great but depending only on that would weaken our nation so some cooperation with other non member countries is essential. It's like the Russian gas, it's fine but depending only on that makes us vulnerable and we should seek other sources.
It's all about interests and possibilities. Believing in some western, Anglo propaganda is very narrow-minded.

When I was at the gym earlier today, I had no idea whether I had done 2 sets of squats or 3 sets :(((((((

After my workout I went to McDonald's and it was fucking top tier. Touch screen ordering and payment that eliminates any line (There's like 4 of those touch screens) and then the tables were super comfy and had really nice seats. Big flat screen TV showing dead syrian kids to put a smile on my face and start my day right. 10/10 will be going there after every workout.

Bernd 04/07/2017 (Fri) 05:36:10 [Preview] No. 5011 del
>will be going there after every workout.
Sounds like a solid decision. I'm not sure about the touch screen ordering system however as those tend to become greasy all the costumers poking them. Be careful.

Hiking, Camping Bernd 03/25/2017 (Sat) 16:04:58 [Preview] No. 904 [Reply]
Do you like hiking and/or camping, Bernd?
I pretty much love hiking, alone or with friends doesn't matter, both gives entirely different experience. I try to spend as much time as I can spare in the woods, wich isn't really that much sadly. I would really recommend it all those Bernds who spends most of their time sitting in front of the screen F5-ing constantly. For a few hours walk you only need a small bottle of water and a Snickers.
I don't even remember when was the last time when I was out camping and not just in an FPS.

first of all, I didn't really expect to get any replies here, but I guess there are still some bernds who keep the threads they've posted in open until they die

those wafers you posted look like they only contain sugars, not sure they are a great idea to be honest. Potatoes and such are better.

But if it is only a one day hike, then you don't really have to worry. I advise you to make better food plans for longer trips, as you can't go back for more food!

That's funny. And I'm not even talking about your trips >>5000

You should try it, if the smartphone recording is too shitty you can try something else.

Bernd 04/07/2017 (Fri) 05:28:43 [Preview] No. 5009 del
You get a reply eventually, just really slowly. I'm planning to keep the hiking thread alive, it could offer some meaningful conversation. I don't keep open the thread literally I use the catalog to find threads and check the last page sometimes if there's anything to save.

That wafer thingy has about 32% fat and 20% sugar (and 30% more other carbohydrates). It's good to eat it on the move because it gives you the necessary energy pretty fast, it's not for sitting around at camp before bedtime. The sugar is no problem as you burn it instantly as digested anyway.
If you are in a long day of walking you gonna need more than that recommended 2000 kcal/day. So the wafer helps to complement the regular foodstuff.

>make better food plans for longer trips, as you can't go back for more food
This is a solid advice for anyone generally.
However here (and I'm pretty sure that's the case for most of Europe) I can just waltz in the next village to buy something as if I want a trip that avoids settlements I have to plan the way very carefully as at every 100 m there's another one... (the 100 m is an exaggeration but settlements are fairly close to each other).

What is going to the barber in Finland like?

I know that everywhere in the world barbers are notorious for trying to make normie-tier small talk with every head they touch but I also know that on the Finland making small talk with anyone outside of immediate family is strictly Haram.

If you are an entrepreneur, no matter how small you are self-reliant. Doing that in the countryside is just another form of it. Being an owner and doing your own stuff, fighting, struggling for your own stuff is a great feeling.

This. And it doesn't need to be that hippie fad like in the US. I dunno how things are going in Germany.
