Fuck you Steve Jobs, I'm glad you're dead and too bad it wasn't sooner.
Happy 10th anniversary to iPhone.

At the very least, at the very fucking least, I would have preferred if the computing device was separated from the interface. I guess I'm stuck waiting another 10 years for smartwatches to become unretarded.

Apple destroyed what could have been a future of more productive computing.

The only thing I like about the $999 iPhone X is it has magnetic charging, so if you don't bring a charger you can probably charge it at some (but not all) of the Starbucks that have magnetic charging tables. The other feautures like facial recognition for unlocking scare the hell out of me. And I wouldn't pay that much just so I can animate custom emojis via facerig type technology.

this idea is pretty gay tbh but I always wanted an AR media device that was sort of like a bow and arrow...
you'd have a small smartphone that's easy to control with one hand, but the other unit would be like a VR headset controller that's used to calibrate the whole thing and you could peer through the phone like a viewfinder into an effectively infinite virtual screen. So it's like a VR headset mounted into one of the controllers, except you could use it primarily as a smartphone as well.

Or it could be like that thing that painters do when they close one eye and look past the tip of a brush to check they're on scale... I'd post images but I'm compeltely unable to put out a search for that thing.

This thing, doing this thing right here. But in the left hand you'd hold like a monocle that sees virtual objects placed near the pen, which would be like an Oculus Rift controller that tells the monocle where the VR objects should be without any additional screening or mapping of the environment draining resources.
