>be me >pay 500 bucks to reserve a night in the path of the solar eclipse for uncle in law and his kids >They cancel >I ask why? >"Our boys said they don't want to miss two days of school." >but...the eclipse is once in a lifetime. They don't really know what an eclipse is, you shouldn't let them dictate to you just because they don't want to go on a road trip to another state. >"Yeah, but school is more important." >but they'll dee the eclipse, get interested in science and then be more interested in science classes at school. >"It's ok, they got awards for perfect attendance last year and don't want to mess it up."
>>12744 I'm in Eugene for the eclipse too. It's suuuuuupeer hippie here, the anti-pol. Guys wear Batman masks and bike by, bums with guitars, smokers everywhere, hippy rainbow t shirts, stoners, women dress like dykes with ripped short-shorts and dyed hair, haven't seen a single person wearing a suit, and new age decor is everywhere.
>beautifully applied a new screen protector >it's fucking crystal, flawless, dustless perfection >completely bricks the touchscreen >remove, reapply >touchscreen works, it's also a fucking toupé of maggots and salmonella
god fuck shitting damn low concentration electroconductivity
>>12672 Never thought of that one.
you can get a simular (but exponentially slower) effect from the trackmenot addon with 10 searches per minute. Same thing with the Whitenoise generator addon (if it still works even).
there are a number of options, since they are using wireshark white noise generators and proxies will work for a while, but they will catch on eventually, so having tor installed should keep them off of your scent for a while until they learn to block out the entry nodes at which point you will have to switch to either i2p, freenet, or hyperboria
This will never happen because it's inconvenient for each company's own proprietary DRM, but I wish game collecting turned into buying a chip that contains space for the data, plus an universal, cartridge-specific license to download the game from any cooperating hardware manufacturer's own internet store.
This could happen if a single company became like reverse Nintendo: establish their own cartridge format without even having your own console for it. Imagine if Limited Run Games started manufacturing a cartridge and a card reader that works on PC, and console manufacturers were convinced to support indies by including a port for that card reader.
Piracy is a fake issue. Devs are already strongarmed into selling their product for 99 cents only to pad an infinite stack of unfinishable backlogs. It's clear that the major reason games are even an industry is because of people who willingly buy games at day 1 out of pure enthusiasm, combined with frugal people who pay less but still a considerable amount by waiting for the first discount, but the amount of money they pour in is just going to be based on how much they've got on hand, not how many individual games they end up getting for that money. Companies have this ideological pipe dream that everybody will just get second and third jobs just to keep playing games if piracy can be stifled, but they don't understand the position they're in. The reason Dreamcasts die is not because people were able to quit a third job using piracy.
>>11118 Hmm, i am not quite sure if i get your idea. Are you suggesting something like the R4 Revolution for the NDS where you buy the chip and then you just simply buy the games on PC, stick them into that one chip and play? That sounds like a pretty cool idea and it would prevent things such as games costing more like how it has happened on the Switch and you wouldn't have to worry too much about preserving the thing, especially if it uses microSD cards like the R4 does.
While I was cleaning out my great grandfather's room the other day I found his journal. Several parts are in Chinese and most of the rest is in English but riddled with grammatical and spelling mistakes. I'll summarise it in greentext for you faggots if you like. >be 1965 >be my grandfather's brother >shouldn't have bought a TV >whole clan's coming to watch a government announcement with me despite their not speaking English >and they expect me to translate >Lee Kuan Yew is about to make an important proclamation one that according to the Straits times will be about declaring independence from Malaysia and becoming a country on our own >nothappening.jpg when he is about to pave over Singapore's agricultural land >regular news about football or the lottery or some shit until the anchor airs LKY's announcement in full >"I have met with the Tunku, and he seems a pleasant fellow, >He has granted to me certain amendments in the Constitution that will pare down, but not eliminate, the privileges of Malays in the federation, >And Singapore will continue to be a state of Malaysia. >As a result I will liquidate the assets of the PAP and merge it with the UMNO." >shouts, whispers of betrayal secrete from the assembled tongues >my brother summarises this most astutely >"We thought he had no brains in actuality he has no balls" >everyone is clamoring to provide reasons for why he fell for a fucking election stunt
>>12676 Lmao don't they censor the fuck out of your country. You guys have oppressive Chinese style firewalls right? I went there and everyone was afraid to say anything that would upset the Mudslimes or the ruling family behind the government, and the average Singaporean comments denouncing Amos Yee's right to free speech on all the news portals were retarded. Tbh, if that's the common view in Singapore then I don't like the people there, because I hate politically correct speech limitations.

What part of "Note: this is an alternate history" did you fail to see or understand?
>>12740 >Hellooooo >I am losing my patience with you >If you don't know how to operate this machine get out and let other people use it >Where did you come frooom? Which country are you froooom? Kek, I just love the way he speaks.
Christ, what a shit thread. GTA SA deserves better then this. >good mod >one that connects liberty city and vice city to it If i wanted to fuck around in Vice City or Liberty City i'd play VC, VCS, III or LCS. The best mod is the MTA SA mod aka a multiplayer mod thats better then SA:MP. Another great mod is the DYOM mod which allows you to create your own missions and play other community created missions. I also like SnowAndreas because it changes everything to a winter theme along with a bunch of skin changes. Theres also plenty of small mods that i really like that i won't get into right now. SA has a massive number of mods for it, there are still a bunch of mods being made for it and i hope it continues to grow.
Now, lets ignore that OP(a faggot) wanted to make this a SA specific thread while putting in 0 effort and let me ask 2 questions: Compared to other GTAs, how does SA compare for you anons? Which GTA games do you like the most?
>>11116 Hahahahaha, i can't believe you're getting so butt blasted over this. >MECHANICS, PHYSICS Oh, wow, how fun, i get to flip the car in VC but with SA physics! >OST Oh yes, yeah, right, how fun, i get to listen to different music while driving in VC. How wonderful.
Are you so butt mad because i said you faggots put 0 effort into the thread? Because i am right. Go back to your parents, kiddo, maybe they'll teach you to calm your ass down and put effort into things next time.
Would anyone anons like to be a moderator of >>>/loli/ ?
It's basically dead board, but some opportunistic FBIhoneypotters keep spamming it with links to websites that I assume are dangerous and illegal. I don't login enough to quickly delete that shit. Since the board is deader than Elvis, there is little risk in handing the responsibility to anyone.
Oh and if you're a pompous jackass who doesn't respect free speech don't bother. I don't want another AllTheFallen hugbox or 8/loli that bans everyone when argumemts get heated.
Post your account name and I'll transfer moderation priveldges to at least one of you.
>>12680 I would be interested to look over this lovely board and handle it with my utmost care. I really would love to have some power to remove unnecessary spam, however, many are saying that removing spam itself is an act against freespeech. I do want to point out that this site has some global rules that affect every single board.
This is the end, right? then i will confess something, i still love her, i've gotten a life, job, gf, sex, videogames, friends... but she's still missing, i was hoping that somehow when i had a normal life, the feels would go away, but they didn't, i don't give a fuck about anything right now, i want to hug her, it's horrible, like every nice thought of us being together is followed by a million sharp needles, knowing it won't ever happen, i hate it, i have to hold my tears at my job, at home, and if i ever met her again i will have to pretend that i don't love her anymore because showing any hint of it could get me in trouble, it hurts.
And to thing that i haven't been this much of a FFFFEGET for 4 or 5 years, god, i miss not being in love.
this must be what people call "hell", suffering without end in sight
>>12253 i fell in love with her in 2008, we stopped talking around 2010 and now that it's the current year i don't know anymore, i wish i died in my sleep, i shouldn't have ever looked back, or rather, i shouldn't have ever given up
i have this theory, this thing i call the "existential cage", in which i'm trapped between shitty memories and the seemingly hopeless future, on the other hand, i think i'm advancing, now i'm missing the NEXT ex-gf (who was the last one i had)
R 117H - Malum-in-se Edition. *** This update features new weapons, and new Romanesque areas for DarkHold and the building system. *** Two new weapons: A brutal new spiked mace that is quick to swing (being hollow and light) Sai: these can interdict weapons far above their own weight class (similar to the special ability of the quarterstaff and elven staff) *** New building: Romanesque Belltower - A tall belltower in the old pre-13th century style. Map update: The Darkhold Dungeon got more complex: A Romanesque area modeled after an 11th century church has been added to the crypts below. *** (Thought Theme for this release:) _"Fight to the end"_ _"Conquer the enemy"_ "Far as the eye can see"
ChaosEsque Anthology is a first person shooter. It is a standalone modification of Xonotic which includes extended weapons, maps, vehicles, buildable buildings, mounted weapons, spell casting, monsters, player characters, textures, and game modes.
It has over 100 maps. Some are futuristic, some are ancient, and some are medieval. A few evoke platform games such as sonic, others follow a style more akin to diablo. Some are static maps, others are randomly connected.
There is something to fit your mood. There are mutators that can add mounted weapons in any map, buildings, monsters, foliage, hazards, and even balloons and bumpers. You can fight with futuristic weapons, medieval weapons, and /or hand to hand combat (over 100 weapons). There are also many vehicles (and a mutator to spawn them in maps that do not have them, as is tradition (as you can see)).
You can also set each team to start with different specific weapons if you want to test a theory that you could defeat a well equipped military force with your bolt action rifle or crossbow. Same with vehicles and mounted weapons spawning (you can set which spawn near which team in CTF etc). You can drink wine, potions, learn magic, read scrolls, so on and so forth.

Bullshit, the game will definitely cheat if you start getting payouts. You know no one is regulating it and looking over the code. At the very least harder "random levels" will load more if a Call of Duty pro starts racking in dough.
>>11030 Of coyrse the game is not 100% skill based.
The luck component of the game is level layout and enemy loadout. So it's not just about how well you play the shitty sub 30fps piece of shit game, but whether you get enough robots to destroy and whether the level out of 100 possible ones is easy to navigate.
There was this one thread in which platformers were being discussed really in depth. Specifically Sonic platformers in 3d, and I think I have an idea on how to fix the combat while adding to the platforming. Why not, when you destroy more than one enemy by jumping on top of them, the camera changes to bird's eye view?
This COMPLETELY does away with the shitty auto aim mechanics we see in 3d Sonics without compromising jumping speed like in the 3d Mario, Pacman or Crash games.
>>11012 This would work, but only if SEGA removes the shitty mechanic that is the Boost Gameplay which has made all post '06 3d Sonics except for Lost World a shitty rollercoaster ride. Not saying that Lost World is free of faults mind you, but I enjoyed it for the sheer fact that it was the first time IN A LONG TIME that I felt that 3d Sonic had non-scripted freedom of movement.
>>11013 That reminds me of the awkwardness of playing Bubsy in 3D, or even some of the platforming sequences in the Half-Life series.
First person platformers would cause serious headaches or motion sickness. I think when they first come to the rift, all games should be slowed down to mario speeds, rather than trying to copy sonic.
And scripted quick time events are retarded. I hate those things in all games, they're just animation porn that requires no skill other than Simon says, and they always jar me by taking away my ability to play and forcing me to watch a "movie."
>>11022 >First person platformers would cause serious headaches or motion sickness Yes, Polygon, that's why you learn to orientate, perhaps through repeated pattern training and at progressive levels of difficulty. That's exactly how you struggled to learn to play finger pointing sims in the first place. That's the point; it's fun.
Has anyone tried to figure out the super autistic game the autists at Libre-jp have been talking about for hundreds of posts? What's it about anyway? I know they're designing some kind of game, though I don't get how they're playing it.
>>10996 I didn't look into it but those are usually forum RP games that they're playing right now and here on the forum itself. They're not just talking of realizing it, they're going through the rules they're currently in the process of using. They may also have set up a 100% in-character private forum on the side. Japanese use internet like they were shouting in a hallway, a single project tends to sprawl over various domains depending on its useability, every service is just another Discord and not the main event. They're just neurotypical enough to realize what is just a medium and what is the grand reality, so they're not bound to the whims of any prepackaged unit. They have good sense of WYSIWYG.
I'm guessing no one ever played it, but it was a browser game that in it's hey day had thousands of players. Every day you would log in and spend production points to expand your space station and buy types of warships, and you could use those to attack other players and potentially capture the colonies they built which would spell a game-over.
I think the creator lost interest and shut his website down after a year or two. I don't know, was there more to the story? It was kind of fun.
The art looks pretty good. Say what you will about mobile games, but with all of the affordable content I'm in no hurry to buy a Vita or a Switch. If it's good I'll have to finally figure out how to use an android emulator, because I'm not waiting 2-3 years for another mobile game to be localized. By the time you're playing it the Japanese have already moved on and don't want to talk about what you're into.
I've been looking at some Black OPs 3 footage and it doesn't look that bad. So I'm just wondering aside from Activision being a bunch of DLC pushing kikes, and the broken respawn system plus health kits is there a real reason one should hate it? The movement system reminds me more of Mirror's Edge than the shitty sequel EA DICE gave us. The shooting doesn't get in the way of gaining momentum while parkouring and it's interesting seeing people balance iron sights with wall running.
Are normalfags brain dead retarded, or am I just missing something?
>>10953 > made it too viable to just run off and be a one-man army.
The only one who can do that to be honest is the broken as fuck Soldier Black Box armed with the Conch. The other guys need support from medics, or engies for ammo and health. The medic is also still completely useless by himself unless you're sneaky and a god at the crossbow.
>>10923 >real reason one should hate it >>10933 >I don't understand why people hate this game, it's just as awful like all the other CoD's
I guess you nigs just haven't payed attention but its time for you to realise something that has been shown after the whole Infinite Warfare "scandal". COD players are the absolute worst trash. Those niggers keep shitting on Activision trying to change COD even a little bit even tho those same players complained that COD was getting stale. These same fuckers then SHAT on Infinite Warfare after being played like a damn fiddle by Dices publicity stunt while at the same time being willing to give 20 dollars or more for a fucking Modern Warfare Texture pack. These same niggers also try to claim that "COD has become trash" even tho its always been trash. If that little "scandal" didn't prove once and for all how cancerous the COD community is, then i don't know what could possibly prove it.
>>10937 Its a shame that i have completely lost interest in TF2 to come back into it.
>>11010 Well I did check out the trailer for IW and youtube comments saying it looks like Halo. Even though 343's Halo looks like ME and COD had a baby. Gameplay wise it just looks like your average COD Fps but in a futuristic Hollywood setting.
>>11015 Well, its typical COD except with some new mechanic i think but point is, the trailer looks nothing special but doesn't really look bad either but people made a big bullshit stink about it especially after Dice started trash talking the trailer. Basically they fell into Dices little stunt.
Kek, as if they're the ones to talk, they turned their flagship series into CoD with vehicles with BF3. Granted BFBC2 has a shitty unlocks system, but if you're skilled enough unlocking the game changer weapons isn't too hard. Plus no other FPS out there has vehicular warfare and destructible environments in perfect unison like BFBC2 did back in its hayday and does in pira- I mean private servers.
